ApoAlly Insights#

Introduction#

ApoAlly Insights is an integrated text-to-SQL extension that enables pharmacies to query both their own business data and publicly available data sources in a straightforward and secure manner. Additionally, data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) are included, which we provide and update regularly. Using natural language, users can create targeted queries and receive precise information and detailed analyses from the available data in seconds.

How ApoAlly Insights Works#

Thanks to the integrated text-to-SQL technology, ApoAlly Insights allows users to intuitively and easily create complex SQL queries using natural language. The AI model directly translates your input into high-performance database queries, delivering reliable results in real time without requiring specialized technical knowledge.

Example of a query:

“What was the revenue from ibuprofen products last month per manufacturer?”

Uploading Your Own Data#

ApoAlly supports the integration of individual pharmacy data from enterprise resource planning systems and can process data from various fields, such as:

  • Cash transactions and sales data
  • Incoming goods and supplier data
  • Inventory and warehouse management
  • Customer information and history
  • Other pharmacy-specific data sources

The supported file formats are: - CSV - TSV - XLS (Excel) - XML

You can conveniently upload your data via a standardized REST API interface provided by ApoAlly. This enables simple automation for the continuous or regular import of your most up-to-date data.

Applications and Benefits#

ApoAlly Insights offers a variety of advantages in everyday pharmacy operations, including:

  • Quick access to detailed analyses of your own pharmacy data through simple natural language input
  • Lightning-fast acquisition of precise insights regarding inventory, stock levels, sales trends, and customer and sales patterns
  • Support for evidence-based decisions to optimize processes and strategic planning
  • Easy integration of existing data sources via REST API for faster insights and automated workflows

Security and Data Protection#

The security and protection of your sensitive business data are of the utmost priority. All uploaded data remain protected within a section of the ApoAlly infrastructure exclusively assigned to your pharmacy. Data transmission is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), and storage is carried out in accordance with the strict requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Integration of External Data (e.g., RKI Data)#

In addition to your individual pharmacy data, ApoAlly Insights provides standard access to regularly updated health and surveillance data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), which are freely available under a Creative Commons 4.0 license. This allows for analyses and decision-making processes to be supplemented with additional external public information.

This includes, for example, data on: - Influenza cases - SARI- and ARE consultation incidences - COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths - Respiratory diseases and surveillance indicators - Vaccination rates in Germany - Health data such as Mental Health Surveillance, poliovirus surveillance in wastewater, and more

Available RKI Data Sets for Use with the AI Using Text-to-SQL#

The following data sets from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) are available under a Creative Commons 4.0 License (CC BY 4.0) for use within our AI using text-to-SQL. All data sets are updated automatically and regularly.

Respiratory Diseases#
